After first round we spoke with Bence-Norbert Pál. Goalie of KirályPingvinek Sf. Gheorghe is one of the goalies statistics leader of Eagles divisoin...

Tell us something about your hockey beginnings. How did you get into hockey and where did you take your first hockey steps?

I began to play hockey as player at the age of 7. It was in my hometown, Sepsiszentgyörgy (Sf. Gheorghe). After first season I became a goalkeeeper, even if my parents didn´t agree with it. I got into hockey because of my dad, who is also an amateur hockey player.

Do you still remember your first coaches? Can you highlight some of the trainers who have had a major impact on your hockey growth?

My first coaches were Kernászt Huba-Attila, Bagyán János, Sarca Marius and Ugron Endre. The very first person who have had a major impact on my hockey career is my dad. Than my coaches Kernászt Huba-Atilla and Kertész Zoltán.

Do you have a hockey idol or a favourite hockey team?

My goalies idols are Henrik Lundqvist and Marc-André Fleury. I like their saving style. My favourites teams are Vegas Golden Knights and Királypingvinek Sepsiszentgyörgy.

What would you like to achieve in hockey? Do you have a hockey dream?

My plans for the fuutre are to become a good, professional goalkeeper.

If you didn’t played hockey, is there another sport you would have devoted yourself to?

The one and only sport I am devoted to is ice-hockey. In my free time I like cycling and swimming.

The Carpathian Junior Hockey League has its first round behind it. What are your impressions from this competition?

I think, all the teams and organizations were great.

After the first round, you have one of the best statistics among the goalkeepers of U16 category (a save rate of 95.3% and a goals-per-game average of 1.20); what is the secret of your success?

There is lot of works behind my statistics. Lot of hard work, mental training and discipline.

Like you, also your team is doing well. After first round you are on the second place with the same points as first Nowy Targ. Did you expected this before the season?

It were our first competitions games in this season, so we didn´t expect too much. But we hoped for the best. Luckily, me and my teammates, we were in great shape.

The next round of the CJHL is on the programme in November and takes place in Novoiavorivsk. What are your goals when travelling to Ukraine?

In November, when we are going to Ukraine, we will try to do our best.

In CJHL we have teams from different countries. Did you have time to find some friends abroad?

Sadly, I didn't have so much time to make some new friends there. I hope next time I will have.

Season just started, but anyhow...what would you like to achieve, what will satisfy you in the end of the season?

I hope for the best for my team. To play in higher level and to win as much as we can. And finally, I hope there will be no injuries.

In conclusion, what would you wish for your teammates but also your competitors in the CJHL?

I wish to all players to work hard and don´t be injured. May the better win!
