During last weekend, jubilee CJHL season started in Nowy Targ. The first round of U17 category was played there. Even though it's only the beginning of the season, we've had the opportunity to see some great games.

"In Nowy Targ we welcomed 7 teams from 5 different countries. Four of those teams are CJHL members for 2025/2026 season. Three others came as a guest teams for the first round. But maybe we will see some of them also in the next rounds," said Peter Kločanka, CJHL director. CJHL members are DLS Daugavpils, Geležinis Vilkas, Polonia Bytom and Kárpáti Farkasok.

The best sport form in the beginning of the season shown up team from Daugavpils. Latvians won all 6 games and are on the first position after the first round with 17 points. One point they lost in their last game. After 14 minutes they were loosing 0:4 against Polonia Bytom, but in second period were able to erase this lead. Goal scored 35 second before the end sent game to shootouts. The winning goal was scored by Kirill Šnarskij.

The best scorer of the first round became Amadeusz Tyński from Polonia Bytom. In first six games of the season he scored 11 times. Jokübas Spruntulis stood out among goalkeepers. Geležinis Vilkas goalie achievedd 95,8% save percentage and 0,67 GAA. Full games and players statistics can be find on CJHL U17 STATS

Next round is scheduled on November, 7-9 in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland.
