On Friday, Hockey Club HA Brumov-Bylnice informed the management of the Carpathian Junior Hockey League that will be not participating in the third round of the CJHL U18 in Sanok, due to the flu epidemic.

"We are not able to send a hockey team to Sanok. Our situation will not change during the week, in fact is getting worse every day. We are very sorry, we were preparing for third round, we have ambitions, but what we can do?", said about the situation Jaroslav Vanek, president of HA Brumov-Bylnice.

League management has been intensively engaged with the situation and, in order to maintain the number of matches in the third round, has decided to reach out to several clubs in Hungary, Poland and Austria, with an offer to take part in the third round as a "guest". Even though it looked hopeful, finally it failed.

Due to this fact will be 3. round only with 6 teams, which means less games. Thats why, the League management decided that teams will play 3 games of fourth round during this weekend in Sanok.
