During the past weekend (22 - 25 March 2018), the final round of the Carpathian Junior Hockey League, U18 category, took place in Galati, Romania. This was marked by the absence of two league teams. We missed team HK Mládež Michalovce, for the duties in domestic competition. Also the Czech team HA Brumov-Bylnice didn´t arrived to Romania. As a reason for their absence, as in the absence on the third round, they presented health problems in the team.

On the other hand, the North American team of the East Coast Spartans took part in the last round. Spartans, due to the approaching snowstorm that was predicted to hit Boston on the day of their departure, rescheduled the tickets and arrived one day sooner than the original plan. The young Americans, despite the time shift and without any experience of playing on the European dimension of the ice rink, "energized" the fourth round.

The final round was played in a non-traditional way. First, the teams met with each other, followed by a play-off. First and second place teams were placed directly into the semi-finals, with the remaining four teams having to deal with the quarterfinals. Altogether, 22 games took place in Galati. The results of all matches can be found here.
