Unusually, on Thursday evening, the final round of the 2017/2018 Carpathian Junior Hockey League season of the U18 category begins with the opening games. "Non-traditional" will be the composition of the participants of the fourth round, which will take place on 22-25 March in Galati, Romania. In Galati will not be the actual leader of CJHL, HK Mládež Michalovce (still playing in home competition) and on Monday Czech team Brumov-Bylnice informed League management about their not coming to Galati as well.
Within four days, will fight for points the players of Novojavorivsk, Sanok, Kharkov, Trebišov and the home Gladiators. The sixth team will be the special guest, the EC SPARTANS, team from the USA. Due to the absence of two KMHL teams, the League management changed the playing system of th fourth round. First, the participating teams will play 15 games (round robin system). The results of these games (excluding games with the North American team and the games that took place in the third round) will be counted in the final table of the Carpathian Junior Hockey League. Then play-off will be followed to determine standings in the fourth round. In total, 22 games will be played in Galati for 4 days. Each team will play 7 or 8 games.
